Samsung Galaxy R smartphone has been official introduced in Taiwan. The Samsung Galaxy R smartphone will be arrive before the end of this month for price of NT$15,900 (about US$537 or €392). It will be available via Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan Mobile local operators.

The Galaxy R Android smartphone is brings a 4.2-inch Super Clear LCD touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, 21 Mbps HSPA+, and full 1080p HD video playback. The Galaxy phone sports a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, and pre-loaded with free games such as Dead Space and NFS Hot Pursuit from EA.

Boost Mobile offers the Samsung Transform Ultra midrange Android smartphone. The Samsung Transform Ultra has features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a full physical side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, a rear-facing 3 megapixel camera, a front-facing VGA camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

Samsung Electronics announced the official naming strategy for its smartphones, as well as four new smartphones series Galaxy Galaxy with Android. The South Korean giant has decided the five classes of the Galaxy brand based on a specific letter.

As for their brands, Samsung also introduced the Samsung Galaxy W, M Pro Galaxy, Galaxy and Galaxy YY Pro. All run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.
